JW considers many health care workers who practice true healing art are companions who share the vocation of saving human life, and has been developing constant supports for improvement of Korean pharmaceutical industry and saving precious lives.
Sungcheon Award is the award made by Lee Jong Ho, JW CEO, to commemorate Sungcheon Lee Gi Seok, the former CEO, who contributed to improve national health by developing the first transfusion fluid in Korea and supplying essential medicine, and to contribute the national society development by expanding ‘respect for life’ value, JW’s founding idea.
Sungcheon Award will be awarded to true medical personnel who had a great contribution for improvement of human welfare by curing physical and mental illness through healing art for the people suffering from disease and poverty all over the world.
We select medical practicioners who contribute to society based on humanitarian spirit by having established JW award with Korean Hospital Association in 1993. JW award will be awarded to the members of Korean Hospital Association, who receive respect as medical practicioners and gain great trust from the local society for his/her practice of true healing art.
This award was made together with Seoul Pharmacist Association in 1994 and has been awarded to people who contribute to the extension of interests for the members of Pharmacist Association and development of Pharmacist Association, after passing strict screening by the ethics commission of Seoul Pharmacist Association.
Medicine Critic Presentation Ceremony was made together with Medical News in 1976, and has selected doctors and pharmacists who contribute to the development of medical industry with their active writing and editing activities every year. The selected doctors and pharmacists critics has been charging big roles as opinion leaders in medical industry and especially since 1998, they have been working more actively by organizing Korean medical critics association.
JW Academic Award was made together Korea Female Doctor’s Association in 1997 and has selected female doctors who contribute to the development of scholarship ever year after passing a strict screening.
